O Guitar Hero especial da banda classica do hard rock Van Halen, será lançado em 22 de Dezembro para PS2, PS3, XBOX360 e Wii, e assim como Guitar Hero Metallica, terá possibilidade de usar Guitarra,Baixo,Bateria e Vocal

No jogo terá os integrantes do Van Halen: Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen e Wolfgang Van Halen (não terá Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony e Gary Cherone).

A respeito das musicas, além das 25 musicas do Van Halen (e + 3 Guitar Solo de Eddie Van Halen) terá bandas como Blink-182, Foo Fighters, The Offspring and Queens of the Stone Age, que inspiraram no Van Halen
